This local food bank was established by the Seymour Oxford Clergy Association in 1979 to meet the growing request for food assistance within the church communities. Churches in the two towns supported the food bank with food and monetary donations. Donations: May be left in donation bins at the entrances of the church.

The Blessing Pantry is a free standing pantry in the parking lot of Trinity Church in Seymour. It is stocked with non-perishable food items, personal hygiene and cleaning supplies. All are welcome to the Blessing Pantry.  Monetary donations may also be sent to Trinity Church, put "Blessing Pantry" in the memo of your check. [ more ]

This pantry was first opened on July 4, 2020 in direct response to the massive surge in food insecurity that resulted from the COVID-19 Pandemic. The initial goal of the Pantry was to provide an additional community resource for neighbors struggling to put food on the table. While Seymour residents are encouraged to use the food resources in town, they are also eligible to use the other food pantries throughout the valley and state.  [ more ]

This document aims to addresses both the scope of and response to food insecurity in the Valley Area. The data represented includes five of the area Food Banks and two Little Free Pantries (Kathleen Samela, Salvation Army, Spooner House, St. Vincent DePaul, Seymour Oxford Food Bank, The Blessing Pantry, and The Little Free Pantry on Skokorat). While this data does not include every Valley food effort, it does offer valuable insight regarding food
