Youth Led Seymour Food 2 Kids Presents to Selectboard

May 7, 2024 Seymour- The Board of Selectman in Seymour heard a heartfelt presentation on Tuesday evening from the founder of Seymour's new Food 2 Kids program: Mackenzie Bullard, age 5. Now officially a 501c3 nonprofit, Seymour Food 2 Kids began months ago when Mackenzie noticed some of her classmates didn't have snacks and decided to do something about it. [ more ]


Co-Founders of Emerson Tenants Union Face Eviction

May 2, 2024 - You may have heard a lot more about renters in the news lately. Low vacancy rates and an affordable housing crisis have put landlords in a powerful position. Consequential Supreme Court Case On Homelessness To Be Heard

April 24, 2024 -The U.S. Supreme Court will soon hear the most consequential case about homelessness in decades.In this case, the Supreme Court will determine whether a local government can arrest or fine people for sleeping outside when adequate shelter is not available. All In Leaders Tour Tiny Home Human Rights Zone

April 13, 2024 - NEW HAVEN - In an effort to explore innovative solutions to the housing crisis, All In Alliance leaders gathered at Amistad House of Hospitality, home of activists Mark and Luz Colville, to tour Rosette Village.When the COVID-19 Pandemic accelerated the housing crisis and forced untold numbers of individuals and families out of their homes, many found refuge in encampments. All In Alliances Join Forces at Emerson Tenants Union Rally

April 13, 2024 - NEW HAVEN - Leaders of multiple All In Alliance chapters joined forces with Naugatuck Valley Project (NVP), union organizers, and housing advocates at New Haven City Hall at a rally in support of the Emerson Tenants Union. The Emerson Tenants Union officially registered with the city's Fair Rent Commission in February 2024, becoming the city's fifth tenants union and the first to form against a landlord other than mega-landlord Ocean Management. All In Alliances Presented with 2024 Citizen Planner Award at Annual Conference of Connecticut City Planners

March 22, 2024 [Southington, CT] - Today the Connecticut Chapter of the American Planning Association (CCAPA) presented the All In Alliances in Ansonia, Derby, Milford, Oxford, Seymour, and Waterbury with their 2024 Citizen Planner Award, at their annual awards luncheon.  The ceremony was attended by over 60 Connecticut city planners and colleagues in government, public service, and philanthropy ...
